AUSTRALIAN MADE SOUVENIRS

We are a family business creating authentic Australian Made souvenirs, art, gifts, stationery and homewares. We produce products with a unique twist and their love for our adoptive country of Australia.

Our products are proudly designed and manufactured in our studio in South Fremantle, in Western Australia. Our products are made in small batches so there is less waste.

All our greeting cards are produced on 100% recycled card and come with 100% recycled envelopes.

OUR AIM

Mokoh was born out of our love for everything Australian. We wanted to design, create and make products with an upmarket feel to the souvenir. Products that would make the customer feel happy to give or even keep in their own homes.

We strive for quality and authenticity in everything we create.

ABOUT US

Founded in 2003

Trudy and Andy Baker were born and bred in the UK and met whilst studying for their BA Hons Degrees at Bath Art College. They emigrated to Perth, Australia with their young family in 2004.

The couple felt the urge to create something unique to post back to friends and family overseas and show off their new country. As a result Mokoh was born. A majority of their designs are influenced by the Australian landscape/culture and their love of  Australia’s  natural flora and fauna.

The name Mokoh derives from the couples two gorgeous children Molly and Koh.

We hope you enjoy our ranges as much as we’ve had creating them!

OUR STORY

At the start of 2022 Andy was training for the Margaret River Ultrathon when he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke while running at our local park run in South Fremantle. He spent 3 months in Fiona Stanley Hospital undergoing intense rehabilitation. Andy was unable to talk, walk and use his right hand. In a cruel twist of fate this was his drawing hand. He still works everyday with his amazing team of therapists on his new found abilities. The stroke has left him with Aphasia and with right side mobility issues including chronic post stroke fatigue. Miraculously he can now walk again, find some words to create sentences on the good days and use his left hand for creating drawings again. But he can no longer work on Mokoh like he did. Everything just takes time for him and his priority is now to concentrate on his daily rehab.

One thing we have both learnt is that tomorrow is never promised in the way you thought it would happen and to hug your loved ones tight every time you see them. Life can change in a flash.

We are forever grateful for all your support of our little business that we have poured our heart and soul into since 2004.

Thank you

Trudy and Andy
