Next year’s Calendar celebrates ‘Western Australia’ with a front cover showcasing our beautiful capital city of Perth from the South Perth foreshore, the Sail GP Fremantle race is coming back in February next year to Fremantle so is also featuring, Beautiful Cottesloe and Coogee make an appearance, the Leighton based ‘Port to Pub’ swim, our new design of the Fremantle Prison. The beautiful Kalamunda Falls in the Perth hills and Newdegate Silo art project by amazing artist Brenton See.
We visited Purnululu in the Kimberley in June this year to finally see the incredible Bungle Bungles so that naturally gets a spot. (Andy and his cane actually completed a 4 km hike into Catherdral Gorge which was amazing considering his mobility issues, all the rehab since his stroke is paying off, of course he slept for days after but it was worth the sense of achievement we both felt), the incredible Injidup Falls in Margaret river region and Andy and Koh’s favourite Skate boarding spot, The old Captain Munchies cafe, sadly no longer part of Fremantle gets a little nod to our cities history and their days as father and son hanging out together.
These are just a few of this calendar designs. Even more special is that Andy has helped me design this calendar with his left hand (and post stroke fatigue) since he has lost the use of his dominant right hand after his stroke in 2022. So, this calendar is very personal to us as always. Well done Andy!
